On January 13, 2019, the six-month atmospheric mobile monitoring challenge came to a successful conclusion, and the results report meeting of the challenge was held in Beijing. The report meeting released the results of the challenge and selected various awards.
The challenge is hosted by the Environmental Defense Fund and the Engineering Technology Innovation Center of Southern University of Science and Technology (Beijing), and co organized by the Beijing Huanding Environmental Big Data Research Institute (also known as the "Huanding Alliance"). The challenge competition, jointly organized by the host city, excellent monitoring enterprises, and investment institutions, has launched the Atmospheric Mobile Monitoring Challenge, exploring refined pollution supervision models using new technologies to help win the battle to defend the blue sky. This challenge officially started on June 5, 2018, with Cangzhou and Xiangtan as the first joint host cities to provide assistance in testing the new plan.
On site report meeting for the results of the Atmospheric Mobile Monitoring Challenge
Thanks to the rapid development of technology, new monitoring technologies can achieve larger, smaller, and more timely monitoring data coverage at a lower cost. Mobile monitoring has become an important means of atmospheric monitoring and governance. To promote the application of mobile monitoring technology, improve regional air quality monitoring capabilities, and explore a combined atmospheric monitoring mode of "hotspot network+fixed micro station+mobile monitoring equipment".
At the expert review meeting of the challenge competition, participating companies showcased specific application cases of different types of new technologies in mobile monitoring. The organizer organized experts to conduct strict blind selection and evaluation of the application results submitted by participating units, and selected the system design award, on-site exhibition award, application prospect award, and exploration award.
Shandong Nova Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., as a participating enterprise, conducted field tests in Cangzhou City and submitted report results. After a series of case reports and data support, Nuofang Electronics' "Taxi Atmospheric Monitoring System" showcased by Nuofang Electronics won the "Field Display Award" of this challenge with its scientific and innovative advantages.
The "Taxi Atmospheric Monitoring System" independently developed by Shandong Nova Technology Co., Ltd. utilizes the high-precision on-board atmospheric particulate matter monitoring system developed by Nova over two years. The instrument equipment is based on the laser detection principle and installed on the taxi roof light, overcoming the adverse environmental effects of high temperature, high speed, vibration, wind disturbance, rain and snow. It can simultaneously monitor PM2.5 and PM10 indicators, transmit location and monitoring data in real time, and successfully achieve the transformation from fixed point monitoring to whole road network monitoring. It has opened up new ideas for atmospheric pollution monitoring and made taxis a new platform for atmospheric monitoring。
The organizer presented awards to Nova and participating companies
Sincere thanks to the Atmospheric Mobile Monitoring Challenge for providing a platform to showcase Nova's technology, expert judges, and recognition of Nova's technology from all sectors of society. Nova will continue to move forward, strive to research technology, implement the corporate philosophy of "guarding the blue sky with technology", contribute to environmental protection, and jointly build a beautiful and harmonious ecological environment.
